Credit Completion

Students who have more than five unexcused absences per block are required to make up the hours through our Credit Completion program. Each block over five unexcused absences requires a student to make up one half hour (1/2 hour) of credit completion. For example, a student with 7 unexcused absences in first block will be two blocks over the limit requiring 1 hour of credit completion.

These hours are required in order to receive credit for your classes during the semester. We strongly encourage all students to be at school each day in a timely manner. All notes for excused absences from doctors or state officials must be handed in within five days of the absence.

Students also have the option to complete a tutoring log to make up credit completion hours. Tutoring logs are time spent with a teacher before or after normal school hours. Early release students must make arrangements to stay after 2:15 PM. On half days students can stay at the end of the school day and not have to wait until 2:15 PM. Tutoring logs can be found outside of the Attendance Office.
