📷 Student Pictures 📷

All students will be getting pictures taken on Thursday and Friday this week. Students will receive passes on the day they are getting pictures taken that will remind them of their time slot and picture location. Order forms will be available for student that need them. REMINDER: Student pictures are required for ALL STUDENTS for safety reasons and to get a student ID card.

"See You at the Pole" Day will happen on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:00 AM. All around the globe, in every time zone, students and staff will be gathering at their flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. SEE YOU AT THE POLE is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer for your generation. Join us for music and prayer!

🎓 College Admissions/Financial Aid Night 🎓

The Millville High School Guidance Department is hosting our annual College Admissions/Financial Aid Night on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00 PM in the Millville Senior High School Cafeteria. Parents and guests should enter through the doors in the rotunda, which are located near the circle with the flagpole. Counselors will be there to explain the various steps of the College Admission Process. Seniors can begin completing the FAFSA form for financial aid at the beginning of October and that process will also be discussed.

📝 Career Workshop 📝
Soroptimist is sponsoring the "Dream It, Be It" Career Workshop for High School girls on Saturday, September 28th from 10 AM to 2 PM. The workshop is free and will be held at the Hopeloft in Bridgeton. Interested students should stop by the Guidance Office to get a permission slip.

Miss Holly City Volunteers
Interested in helping with the Miss Holly City Pageant? Please join us for a brief informational meeting after school on Tuesday, September 24th in the Cafeteria. Can’t make the meeting? Find Ms. Fouhy and let her know you are interested, or leave her a note in B-200.

Senior Class Fundraisers
Attention Seniors: there are 3 FUNDRAISERS currently being offered: Wawa, which is ongoing for the entire year; Miss Chocolate, which is due Friday, September 27th; and Yankee Candle, which is due Monday, September 30th. Take advantage of this opportunity to raise money for your individual student account. Come to Room A-104 to pick up the fundraising packets!

CNA Program
Students who are interested in the Allied Health field and becoming a Certified Nurse’s Assistant should sign up in the Guidance Office for an informational meeting about a program being sponsored by RCSJ, which could be free of charge for students who qualify. Those students who sign up with Guidance will be invited to an informational meeting in early October. CNAs average about $15 an hour to start and interested students should be 18-years-old by March 1, 2020. Don’t delay in signing up for this limited time opportunity!

Senior Class Booklet
Attention Seniors: If you did not receive a Senior Class Booklet and would like a copy, please pick one up in the Main Office, Guidance Office, Attendance Office, Library, from Mrs. Hulitt in Room A-104, or from Ms. Fouhy in Room B-200.

Sports Equipment
Attention athletes: no sports equipment is permitted in the hallway. It must be secured in a locker or classroom.

My Sister's Kids
Have you been affected by the death of a relative or friend? Have you been separated from a parent due to incarceration or divorce? If so, you have an opportunity to join a grief peer support group. Come to a place where others can relate to what you are going through. Our groups will begin the first week of October and they will be held twice a month during school time. If you are interested and have not already filled out a permission slip or have any questions, please see Mrs. Benishek, Mrs. Phillips, or visit the Main Office for a permission slip.

Student Council Petitions

Any student interested in joining Student Council may pick up a petition form at the Main Office. Petitions with signatures are due to the Main Office TODAY, September 20th. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Clarke during 1st Block in Room A-214.

HOBY
All Sophomores are eligible to apply in the Guidance Office for the position of our school’s ambassador for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program. You will be judged on your leadership ability, academics, sensitivity to others, and desire to communicate your knowledge to your peers. The selected representative will attend a weekend leadership seminar with other outstanding sophomore school leaders across the State of New Jersey. Sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested by Friday, September 27th.

PSAT

The PSAT is being given at MSHS on Saturday, October 19th. The fee to take the test is $20 and the PSAT is the official practice test for the SAT. Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors who are planning to go directly to a 4 year college after high school are encouraged to take the test. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office by Tuesday, October 15th. Please bring cash only to register.
